These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Adorary ("we", "us"), an app developed and operated in the United States. By downloading or using Adorary, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty for Adorary.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Adorary for personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or reverse-engineer the app.
Adorary offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions — Pro and Max — that unlock additional identifications and cloud sync. Subscriptions are offered on a monthly basis and are billed through your Apple ID.
Subscription prices are displayed in your local currency inside the app before you subscribe, as required by App Store guidelines.
The Free tier includes 10 identifications in your first 30 days at no charge. No credit card is required to use the Free tier.
Photos, notes, and collection data you create in Adorary belong to you. We do not claim ownership of your content. You grant us only the rights necessary to provide the service — for example, to transmit a photo to Anthropic's AI API for identification, or to store it in your cloud account if you enable sync.
You agree not to use Adorary to:
All rights in the Adorary app, including its name, design, and code, are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms transfers intellectual property rights to you except the limited license described above.
If you believe the app infringes your intellectual property rights, contact us at support@adorary.com. We are responsible for handling such claims — not Apple.
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Adorary uses Anthropic's Claude API for AI identification. Photos you submit are processed by Anthropic subject to their own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for Anthropic's services.
Cloud sync uses Supabase for storage. If you enable sync, your data is also subject to Supabase's terms.
Adorary is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI identifications will be accurate. You use the app at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Apple provides no warranty for Adorary.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, Adorary — including but not limited to loss of data. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months preceding the claim.
By using Adorary, you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government prohibited-party list.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
We may update these Terms. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app before the change takes effect. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
